Isla Mujeres (Spanish for Island of Women) is a small island town a short distance off the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula in the Caribbean Sea about 8.1 miles northeast of Cancún. It is the easternmost municipal seat in Mexico. The island is some 4.3 miles long and 2,130 ft wide. In the 2010 census, the town had a population of 12,642 inhabitants.

There are many attractions on Isla Mujeres that attract tourists and locals alike. From Garrafon Reef Park to a Turtle Farm to beautiful white sand beaches. There are tons of good restaurants, beach clubs and bars to keep your belly full and your thirst quenched. Accommadations vary from Hostels to Luxury All-Inclusives and everything in between.
